Lyme Park
Well it has taken me a while to get round to it ( 20 years or so actually ) but today I visited Lyme Park for the first time ever . One of the closest National Trust properties to my home , the entrance to which I have driven past a hundred times or more on the way to somewhere else. It was a nice sunny day and I was surprised how much there was to see. The snow had largely disappeared but the grounds and gardens were more like February than April with only the earliest of Spring flowers in bloom. They prohibit photography inside unfortunately but there were still things to photograph outside like this the 'classic view'.

Snow Post Today
Looks like it's set to last into next week and there are threats of PO strikes over Easter
Icing on the Post Box
Loved the way the snow had accumulated on the top.
Eyam Graveyard
Even those buried in the graveyard seemed surprised to see so much snow.
Eyam Hall
Well its Eyam Hall's first weekend under National Trust management but the weather has kept the visitors away.

Moskenes Lofoten Islands
Reine at sunset
I spent a weekend in Oslo first visiting the museums on the Bygdøy peninsular which were very interesting particularly the Viking Ship museum. I then flew up to Lofoten hired a fully winterised car and stayed at Reine which must have one of the most spectacular mountain vistas in the World.
